Pre-Kindergarten
Our North Phoenix Pre-K Program prepares children academically and socially for a smooth transition into
Kindergarten. The Pre-K Classes at our school are uniquely modeled to correspond with the curriculum and activities of Kindergarten, which makes us confident children will prosper in the next step of education. The progressive
curriculum paired with a positive learning environment sets children up for success.
Our Child Care and Learning Center strives to provide an atmosphere where self-concept is enhanced, independence and choices are encouraged, and self-discipline is gained in an environment where the child knows their expectations and educational goals.
At Scottsdale Child Care & Learning Center at Carefree, we offer three progressive Pre-Kindergarten classrooms, teaching 4 and 5 year olds. All of our Pre-K classrooms allow for full or part time attendance. Each classroom offers its own class schedule and weekly lesson plan that is prepared by the lead teacher, guided by the our school’s academic thematic curriculum.
The basic objectives for our Pre-K Program are as follows:
Writing the letters A-Z (capital and lowercase), writing the numbers 1-10, the calendar (names of days and months), weather identification, perception and developing observation skills, understanding opposites, sequence comprehension (patterns and relationships), character education (positive values and attitude development), and health (body awareness).
